What if water could do more?

Aloha,

I started Mananalu with a deep, unwavering love for our planet. It’s not just a passion—it’s a kuleana, a responsibility, and a privilege to protect and heal the planet that has given us so much. Mananalu was created with our partners at Ball Corporation with a mission: to urgently rid the world of single-use plastic bottles. From day one, we’ve been fighting to clear the shelves of those harmful plastics and pull them from our oceans—one bottle at a time.

In 2024, we were introduced to the groundbreaking team at Boomerang Water. They’ve created something incredible—technology that can change how we consume water worldwide. Their machines can use only aluminum or glass to sanitize, refill, and cap up to 3,000 reusable bottles of ultra-purified water daily. And it taps into local water sources, meaning we’re drastically cutting the carbon emissions tied to shipping beverages. Boomerang Water provides a local and sustainable solution, reducing transportation emissions by 95%.

I am honored to announce Mananalu’s exclusive partnership with Boomerang Water. Together, we are working with hospitality partners in Hawai’i to replace single-use bottles with Mananalu, powered by Boomerang. This strategic alliance is a significant step towards eradicating harmful plastics from our environment.

Watching Mananalu take on this new form—this new wave—fills me with so much pride. Together, we can make an even bigger impact and do it faster.

Bringing Closed Loop Bottling to Your Location

The Boomerang Bottling System is your all-in-one solution for sustainable hydration. By washing, refilling, and reusing bottles on-site, it ensures a closed-loop process that’s efficient and environmentally friendly.

Step 1: Load Bottles
Start the process by loading bottles into the system. One person can easily manage operations and maximize output.
Step 2: Clean & Fill
Bottles are thoroughly sanitized, ultra-filtered local water is added, and each bottle is sealed for perfect hydration.
Step 3: Distribute
Distribute bottles through your existing systems or vending stations, providing guests with a sustainable way to hydrate.
Step 4: Return & Reuse
Promote returns through easy-to-access recovery stations. With a return rate exceeding 90%, the loop remains intact, and waste is kept to a minimum.
